Castles and Cabins, Inc., Wins CertainTeed's Coveted Award of Excellence

(Valley Forge, Pa.) – Castles and Cabins, Inc., of Lake City, Mich., recently won the CertainTeed Corporation Award of Excellence for a new home residential project that utilized CertainTeed (R) vinyl siding and polymer shakes.

The residential design and build project, judged among other national entries, was selected for its craftsmanship and overall presentation. Castles and Cabins' winning entry featured 30 squares of CertainTeed Monogram (TM) 46 in the color Barn Red. Monogram vinyl siding, molded from real cedar boards, is virtually maintenance-free, never needs painting and comes with a lifetime limited warranty. Additionally, Monogram's RigidForm (TM) 220 technology has been tested to withstand wind load pressure of more than 200 miles per hour.

The single-family project also featured 4 squares of CertainTeed Cedar Impressions (R) Double 7-inch Straight Edge Rough-Split Shakes in the color Barn Red. Cedar Impressions, molded from real cedar shingles, offers the most natural-looking grain of any cedar-shingle siding alternative available, without the heavy maintenance of wood.
